Dear Aref Najafi, thanks for your feedback. I worked through some of the basic reaction and I believe that there is a way forward - problem being always how to create large quantities of hydrogen. Here is a summary how it might work: By-the-way, th…

Dear Dr. Kessler, Thank you for sharing your experimental design with us, unfortunatly i am not able to comment on your questions. Now i am working in regulatory govermental organisations and I do not have hands in experiments. I am interested in fi…

Dear collegues, i'm right now planning a Fischer-Tropsch- based project where the feedstock would be partly coal (for the H2, C0 synthesis), but also Hi-C02 gas (80 % C02, 20 % methane), reduced again with coal at some 900 C. If the C02 gets again…

Fischer-Tropsch process is a method for the synthesis of hydrocarbons. Synthesis gas, a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, is reacted to produce synthetic gasoline. This process is named after F. Fischer and H. Tropsch, 1923.

to carry out a CCS project, who will pay for the project?
should the industry take the whole expenses or will the government provide financial aid

thank you for the response.
my doubt about the storage are
1. how do u establish that the site is suitable for storage.
2. how can we ensure that there will be no leakage after the storage?

Dear Aref,

Thank you for your comments. I do not have much experience in this field but, do see a lot happenning around and am in general very curious on everything that is happenning. I have seen the website, you suggested and was amezed how some work of 1919 / 20 / 40 can be of so much interest. Have not gone through as ypu might have but, will now keep a track.

By the way, I am at present in Philippines and working on CDM projects in Asia. My part involves helping on making PDDs and other issues.

As part of my studies I have done two projects

1. Project on C02 making out of Biomass
2. Improvement of energy efficiency in CO2 manufacturiing process in a fertiliser plant

Pl do keep in touch. I will be interested. My e mail ID is darshak_mehta@indiatimes.com

Regards,

Darshak

Dear Aref,
Very interesting indeed! 1923 documents useful in today's context! Will study. You may contact me on darshak_mehta@indiatimes.com. Thank you. Do let me know what are your exact areas of interest. What part of carbon capture are you interested / working?

Dear Amir
Thank yu very much for your warm message. Yes I am Iranian and now I am living in Canada. Here much more my research area is concentrated on un conventional oil resources, such as oil sands extraction. During this process massive amount of CO2 releases to atmosphere. Right now Canadian government investing huge money on this subject, but still there is long way to go.
We will have more detail discussions on this subject.
I wish you sucess and glories in your research and ativities.
Warm Regards
Aref
